The catalogue elaborated by Afaf Kadiki (Benghazi) and Sébastien Garnier (Paris) describes the 122 Islamic manuscripts kept at the national Library of Libya, in Benghazi. It benefitted from the help of two other scholars, Theodore Beers (for the Persian manuscripts) and Vincent Thérouin (for the Ottoman manuscripts).\u003cbr\u003e\nThis collection has a unique history, resulting from a mix of purchases abroad and local acquisitions.
