The present study seeks to remedy this deficit regarding the arts by concentrating on literary theory and its aspects of imagination (\u003cem\u003einventio\u003c\/em\u003e), genre (\u003cem\u003edispositio of the genera\u003c\/em\u003e), style (\u003cem\u003eelocutio\u003c\/em\u003e), mnemonic architecture (\u003cem\u003ememoria\u003c\/em\u003e) and representation (\u003cem\u003eactio)\u003c\/em\u003e, with illustrative examples taken from Shakespeare's works, but also on the intermedial rhetoric of painting and music.
