This book answers these questions through a comprehensive study of the Vetus Latina version of Hosea, preserved in a small but invaluable group of manuscripts. You follow the text from its earliest recoverable form through centuries of copying, revision, and regional transmission in Africa and Europe. Combining textual criticism with historical linguistics, the study reconstructs the textual history of the Old Latin version, identifies lost Greek readings, and explores the interaction between translation technique, scribal revision, and the development of Biblical Latin. This volume offers the first comprehensive account of the textual history of the Vetus Latina Book of Hosea.","brand":"Alfio Giuseppe Catalano","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":68271464153339,"sku":"9789004784765","price":183.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/indiepubs.com\/products\/the-textual-history-of-hosea-in-the-vetus-latina-9789004784765","provider":"IndiePubs","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
