"This highly visual guide, which is packed with enlightening drawings and diagrams, is a perfect introduction to architecture around the world and will be as interesting to adults as it is to children. The mass of information is clearly presented and the diagrams are well labelled and very informative.”

“In my years of teaching I've noticed that lots of children are fascinated by buildings but I don't see too many books on the subject that are as stylish and informative as this one… This book is packed full of so many fascinating facts about architecture and architects. With quirky illustrations of buildings you will already know as well as humble homes and houses this book has a building for everyone. I particularly like the way it considers the role of architect and not just the building itself. A new angle that I haven't read about before. This is brilliant for construction enthusiasts, artistic designers and aspiring architects!” May 2019

“Another that we have been enjoying from Button Books is the brilliant Discovering Architecture book by Eduard Altarriba and Berta Bardi I Mila. Children are always interested in buildings and often see the detail that we, as adults, no longer spot. I love walking around cities and looking up – up at the inscriptions on old buildings and learning more about what uses they would once have had. The Discovering Architecture book talks about some well-known buildings but also about the fundamentals of architecture.” may 2019

“These books reinforce the idea that children are never too young to start learning and exploring bigger, more complicated and complex ideas and concepts. They are super child-friendly but also extremely helpful for adults too! They are bright and vivid. Eye catching and engaging from the first pages and with so much to read and see, there is always the possibility of more to be learned, questions to be asked and a wealth of knowledge to be taken on board.” June 2019
