Author Bio
David J. Mathews, MA, LICSW, is a counselor with the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation Community Assistance Program in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a therapist with the Judson Family Center in Minneapolis. He is very active in violence intervention and prevention in communities and schools in the St. Paul metropolitan area, and has consulted with and trained local, state, and national organizations. He is the author of numerous presentations, a chapter on parenting groups for men who batter, and a collection of parenting activities, Parenting Under Stress. Mr. Mathews is a doctoral candidate in counseling psychology at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota.
