Susan Mayes graduated from Leeds University, UK, with a degree in Creative Arts, studying art and literature. She began her writing career as an author of children's non-fiction, later spreading her literary wings to write children's picture storybooks, as well as creative early learning titles. She is a previous winner of the Science Book Prize awarded by COPUS - The Committee on the Public Understanding of Science.
Amanda Shufflebotham is a designer and illustrator who has worked in publishing, design and advertising. Amanda now works from her home studio, and when she's not illustrating and designing she is spending time with her family and enjoying her garden. In fact, if Amanda hadn't gone into design she would have like to be a landscape gardener as the shapes and textures of foliage have always enchanted her.
Aimee Wright graduated from Leeds Arts University and made her professional illustration debut with critically-acclaimed 'The Missing Trick' picture book. Aimee is an accomplished artist in a variety of digital and traditional mediums and always infuses her illustrations with fun, movement, and a playfulness that children love.
Dan Crisp lives in West Yorkshire, UK, with his wife Isabel and their children, Tom, Matilda and Caleb. As well as enjoying writing Dan is a professional illustrator and studied illustration in Sheffield and at The North East Wales Institute. He loves illustrating and enjoys karate, the outdoors, cycling and hiking.
