After her best friend’s father is killed in a robbery, Callie witnesses the power of advocacy through a gun violence prevention group. When her school’s fall play is canceled for being deemed too controversial, Callie is put to the test—in speaking up for others, will she finally find her voice?
Elizabeth Donnelly is a former theater kid who now spends her time directing and teaching young theater artists. Her creative work has appeared in Spider magazine and has received the Tassy Walden Award for both Picture Book Text and Middle Grade manuscript. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Elizabeth lives in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with her family in a home filled with books.
