Hariri Pontarini Architects is one of the foremost Canadian practices. A cofounder of Hariri Pontarini Architects and four-time winner of Canada’s Governor General’s Medal in Architecture, he has developed a modernist language marked by tactile materials and uplifting spaces. The book places homes, temples, hospitals, universities, offices, museums, and theaters in visual conversation, tracing how ideas tested in private residences shape civic commissions. With a foreword by filmmaker Atom Egoyan and writing by critic Stefan Novakovic, the book reveals the idea of home as the thread connecting Hariri’s career—from the light-flooded Bahá'í Temple of South America to Toronto’s Royal Ontario Museum.
