The volume investigates to what extent the international and European Union legal frameworks applicable to Chemical, Biological and Radio-Nuclear (CBRN) events are adequate to face current challenges. Andrea de Guttry is Full Professor of Public International Law at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa (Italy), with over 25 years of experience in research and training in the area of disaster management. He is one of the editors of the book International Disaster Response Law (ASSER/Springer Verlag, 2012).
