The concept of memory appears in numerous contexts. In this study, only a hermeneutic-philosophical perspective is open. The first question concerns the relation between consciousness and experience, i.e. Chalmers’ “hard problem of consciousness.” Cernica argues that consciousness and experience are in mutual conditioning and illustrates this idea by analyzing the functional status, dysfunctions and appropriate remedies of pre-judicative memory.
