Do you ever think about the future? Do you like to imagine it or does it sometimes scare you? Incredible things may happen tomorrow but that tomorrow still awaits us. NOW you are here, and there is life and beauty all around us: the sound of waves inside a shell, a warm hand holding yours or a hug to chase away your fears. A poetic reminder to cherish the here and the NOW.

Carmen Mateo was born in Seville (Spain) in 1982. She is a psychologist who uses children’s literature as a tool with her patients and as a moment for family enjoyment. Although her professional career started in Psychology, she soon crossed paths with stories, as a fan and, later, as their author. She likes to talk and be talked to, and with Gabby Gabe, a very chatty boy, she debuts in NubeOcho.

Writer and illustrator, Paco Ortega was born and lives in Seville. He has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and has worked as a graphic designer since 2004. He began his publishing career in 2016 with El niño y el cofre (The Boy and the Chest) and hasn’t stopped since. Some of his work has been translated and published in other languages including Portuguese, Korean, English, Italian. His book Alika was shortlisted for the Cuatrogatos Award.
