Prison can destroy a man or it can make him stronger.
Sometimes, it can turn him into a monster.
For over a year Gary Braswell dodged the Federal Police and a vengeful Russian syndicate he swindled out of a fortune. Now he languishes in Dingo River Prison, awaiting trial for the murder of a detective – a crime he didn’t commit.
On the inside, an assassin lies in wait. But with time on his hands, Gary’s been working out hard. Possessing the strength of a prize-fighter, the former weakling is now top dog in the yard, afraid of no man.
On the outside, a ruthless Public Prosecutor prepares Gary’s downfall. Acting alone, the partner of the murdered Fed hunts for the smoking gun that would ensure a guilty verdict. And if that wasn’t enough, old friends are lining up to testify against Gary for his cold betrayal of their trust.
All is not lost, however. With Australia’s best defence lawyer on his side, Gary’s got high hopes for a not-guilty finding, freedom, and massive compensation.
Whatever the jury decides, the battle won’t be over.
Not by a long shot.
