The International Conference on the former Yugoslavia constituted a unique approach to peace-keeping and peace-making. Its structure, activities and relations with the personalities and entities within the former Yugoslavia are a fascinating complex, worthy of study and appraisal both now and in the future. Much has been written on the events which preceded, accompanied and followed the break-up of Yugoslavia, and much is still to be written, but only in this volume can the Papers of the ICFY be found in a well-edited, logical and accessible form.
