A cutting-edge U.S. space weapon could change warfare forever, but a Chinese spy ring will stop at nothing to steal the plans.
When Adam Drake stumbles upon the plot, he becomes a target of the ruthless enemy determined to protect their mission at all costs.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) will do whatever it takes to acquire America's most advanced military technology, and Drake must fight for his life while racing to prevent a catastrophic breach of national security.
Navigating a treacherous landscape filled with deception and danger, Drake uncovers a web of conspiracies that threaten not only his own safety but the balance of power on a global scale. As time runs out and the stakes skyrocket, Drake must rely on his elite skills and razor-sharp intellect to outfox his adversaries and expose the CCP's sinister plot before it's too late.

Scott Matthews lives in Oregon, where he met his wife, attended the University of Oregon and earned degrees in Journalism and Law. He served in the Oregon National Guard, first as a CBR Specialist and later as a JAG officer. That's the bare bones of his Bio. The rest of the story is that he got hooked reading Ian Fleming's James Bond novels at an early age and has read just about everything in that genre since then. He outlined stories he intended to write for years before he finally sat down and wrote THE ASSASSIN'S LIST, the start of the Adam Drake Thriller series. He likes wine, especially wine from Oregon's wine country, fishing and hunting and following Formula One racing. And, of course, reading thrillers.
