Johnny Tipler is a lifelong petrolhead, a highly-respected motoring journalist, author and PR. He's an avid car enthusiast and authority on several marques, with a deep knowledge of motor racing and sports cars past and present. As an author, his tally is 43 books published since 1989.
Johnny freelances for a number of specialist car magazines, reviewing cars, interviewing race drivers and personalities in the automotive industry, and loves attending international historic race meetings and rallies.
He ran the John Player Team Lotus Motorsport Press Office for two seasons, and was a research associate at the Motor Industry Research Unit at UEA in the late 1980s.
Johnny was born in Leicester, attended Southern Art College, Stirling University and UEA. He has a BA in Art History and was for a short time a conservator of medieval wall paintings.
