Janet L. Wingate, M.S., Ph.D. is a botanist, botanical illustrator, and former curator of the Kathryn Kalmbach Herbarium in Denver, Colorado. She has studied Rocky Mountain flora for over 45 years and is the author and illustrator of several botanical books, including Rocky Mountain Flower Finder and Alpine Flower Finder. She lives in Denver.

Loraine Yeatts is a field botanist and taxonomist, specializing in alpine and desert floras, and an accomplished wildflower photographer with contributions to botanical and horticultural publications. She is currently a research assistant at Denver Botanic Gardens Kathryn Kalmbach Herbarium, where she has been a volunteer for 56 years. She lives near Denver.
