America is in its 250th year celebrating its independence, but our Constitutional Republic stands at a critical juncture. America has been here before, and we faced a critical decision point in the early 1860s. Whether we truly believed that all men are created equal, and that their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness was endowed, guaranteed to everyone, or just a select group? America fought its first Civil War to turn the pages away from an immoral system of human slavery and commit to its founding 

Then, and now, America needs a good definition of Liberty, and there is no better time than the present. However, even more vital, America needs a reminder of who she is, and the forces that seek its “fundamental transformation”. 

There is a battle waging, and the alliances are forming as the clock is ticking. A “Second American Civil War” looms, and this one, unlike the clear divisions of the first, is uniting a force of anti-Americanism. The Marxist ideology has found an unlikely, and perhaps unexpected, bedfellow with Islamism, an ideology, not a religion. Along with this alliance, it has found a home in the American Democratic political party.

This unholy trinity of the Marxists, Islamists, and the Democratic party seeks to mask their unpatriotic intentions with their sly whispers. It is a trinity that seeks, much as the ancient sea creature, the Leviathan, to consume every aspect of our America society and culture. It has become a cancer that is metastasizing and if unchecked, will kill off the host, our Republic. 

In AMERICA'S SECOND CIVIL WAR, the goal is to expose these dangerous ideologies so we can inform, educate, and activate the American citizenry. The purpose is simple, to preserve the Union, protect and defend the Republic, no different from the America’s first Civil War. The method this literary project uses is to articulate the conflagration, reveal the ideologies, identify the enemies and unmask the hidden partnerships before ultimately wrapping with inspirational provision of pragmatic and effective solutions to defeat the architects of collectivism, submission, and subjugation of the individual.

Two hundred and fifty years ago America broke free from the bondage of Great Britain. With the passing of the 13th amendment, as the first Civil War wound down, and subsequent 14th and 15th amendments, America broke the chains of individual bondage. Today we face ideologies that would seek to restore metaphysical chains of bondage. And just as Tytler states, spiritual faith is the beginning of real freedom, as stated in 2 Corinthians 3:17 (New International Version), “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom”. 

Lt. Col. Allen B. West (Ret.) and Cheryl K. Chumley are both Christian, conservative US Army veterans, who took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. What better pair to endeavor upon this noble cause than two American’s who represent what Marxists deny as possible: individual success and achievement despite color of skin and gender…it truly is about the content of our character. West nor Chumley surrendered to the absurdities of the life of Julia or the collectivist lie of equity, meaning equality of outcomes.
