This Atlas is the result of the European Values Study, a research project that has measured values and beliefs throughout Europe since the 1980s. Loek Halman, Ph.D. (1991) is an Associate Professor in Sociology at Tilburg University. He has published extensively on values and attitudes in contemporary society and the dynamics of value change. He is involved in the European Values Study.
Inge Sieben, Ph.D. (2001) in Sociology, University of Nijmegen, is senior researcher at the Department of Sociology of Tilburg University. She published amongst others in the British Journal of Sociology, European Sociological Review, and Work, Employment and Society.
