Although an engineer by background, David Kay spent 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry before becoming an independent consultant. With a lifelong interest in old cars it was only natural for David to become interested in car mascots, an interest which developed into fascination in the early 1980s. He now has an extensive collection of British marque mascots which he hopes will be displayed in an appropriate museum one day. David lives with his wife in the northwest of England and they have two adult daughters.
