Robert Bateman had his first one-man show in 1967. Since then, he has had numerous sell-out exhibitions in Canada, the United States and Great Britain including an exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and his work is held in public and private collections worldwide, including several public art museums. His work is included in the collections of HRH The Prince Charles, HRH The Prince Philip, the late Princess Grace of Monaco and Bernhard, Prince of the Netherlands. Bateman is an Officer of the Order of Canada, has been the subject of numerous films, has eleven honorary degrees, and ten collections of his work have been published. Two of his books have made publishing history by selling more that half a million copies.
