In this deeply personal and inspiring memoir, Georgia Morissette reflects on a life shaped by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to others. A refugee to Canada in the aftermath of the Hungarian Revolution, Georgia’s journey is one of courage, adaptation, and self-discovery.

Over the course of an 18-year teaching career in Ottawa and abroad—including three formative years in military schools in Germany—she guided students and educators alike, fostering not only academic growth but also values, character, and community.

Georgia’s passion for well-being has been a constant thread throughout her life. For decades, she has led fitness and yoga classes, and continues to teach yoga and chair yoga in senior homes. Through workshops, Reiki, and personal counselling, she has supported individuals of all ages in nurturing their physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Grounded by a loving family and enriched by the experience of raising three accomplished children, Georgia brings a wealth of practical wisdom to her reflections. Her story speaks candidly to the challenges of self-doubt and the transformative power of believing in oneself.

Ultimately, this memoir is an invitation: to embrace who you are, to honour your journey, and to become the fullest expression of yourself.
