Kendall Hunter’s entertaining book – which highlights 30 scenic hikes, some short, some long, that end at a microbrewery or brew pub where you can celebrate your adventure – is focused on the Canadian Rockies region.” –The Calgary Herald

“There are trail guides and there are beer guides. Author Kendall Hunter has taken the best of both worlds and combined them in her new book.” –The Jasper Fitzhugh

Kendall Hunter grew up in the Rocky Mountain town of Banff, Alberta. On skis since the age of 13 months, she's a former competitive ski racer familiar with the slopes and trails of the Canadian Rockies. After graduating in political science from the University of Calgary, she worked and lived in South Africa, England, Wales and Switzerland. Her first book, Black Taxi: Shooting South Africa (Turnstone Press. Winnipeg, Canada, 1996) is a photographic memoir about her experience as a news photographer in South Africa during the lead up to the country's first democratic elections. Her second book is the Swiss instalment of the global Culture Smart guidebook series (Kuperard, London. Second Edition, 2016). Kendall is also a featured contributor for the Women's Media Center in the US.
