In an old mansion on Bucareli Street, time seems to have come to a standstill. Ifigenia works there without asking questions. The routine is precise, almost silent, until a minor discovery disrupts the order: a small tooth hidden inside a wall, wrapped in cotton. From that moment on, the house begins to reveal its true history. Fragments of the past emerge: spiritist sessions held behind closed doors, discreet meetings among figures of power, and disturbing practices of the Mexican high society whose logic appears to have survived political change and the transformation of the city. For centuries, one name seems to repeat itself with demonic insistence: Nicolás de Rocabertí. At the same time, a child becomes obsessed with the Monster of Tacuba, a murderer from the nineteen forties who sought to carry out a ritual known as the golden veil.

Bucareli 158 is a novel in which, both yesterday and today, the innocent are the primary victims of rituals of power and the darkness of the human soul.
