Shireen Moosvi is professor of history at Aligarh Muslim University and is the author of The Mughal Empire, c. 1595: A Statistical Study (1987) and Taxation, Trade and People in Mughal India (2008). She has edited Facets of the Great Rebellion, 1857 (2009), and published a number of papers on colonial economic history and labor conditions. She has also published Episodes in the Life of Akbar (1994).
