Fabian Negrin was born in Argentina. He moved to Mexico to study illustration, painting, and graphic design at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, during which time he began publishing illustrations and working on graphic design projects in prominent Mexican newspapers. Experimenting with various styles and techniques, Negrin is constantly growing as an artist. His innovative style has earned him a number of awards, including the 2010 Bologna Ragazzi Award for Non-Fiction and the BIB Plaque at the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava in 2009. Negrin's diverse body of work encompasses collaborations with numerous international publishers, including Alfred A. Knopf, Barefoot Books, and J. Paul Getty Museum. His picture books have been translated into many languages. He lives in Mexico City.
Kalina Muhova is a Bulgarian illustrator and comic artist renowned for her distinctive and elegant style. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, she pursued five years of painting during high school before relocating to Italy in 2013. There, she honed her craft at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, specializing in illustration and comics. Throughout her career, Muhova has collaborated on various notable projects. She co-illustrated The Book of Imaginary Beings by Jorge Luis Borges alongside Roberta Scomparin and contributed to the fanzine Resti. Her original works include the short comic Karma. In 2018, her talent was recognized when her work was selected for the Children's Book Fair in Bologna, standing out among submissions from over 3,000 artists worldwide. Muhova is also a founding member of an artists' collective based in Bologna, contributing to the vibrant local art scene. Her work is characterized by a deep attention to detail and a unique ability to convey profound narratives through visual art. She lives in Rome, Italy.
