Step into a world where art, power, and diplomacy forged a shared European culture. This volume explores the exchanges between the Iberian Peninsula and the Habsburg Netherlands, and explains how courts functioned as centres of interaction, innovation, and identity. Through case studies, it uncovers the movement of artists, objects, and ideas that shaped political and cultural life in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. From luxury arts and ceremonial practices to diplomatic networks and patronage, the book offers a compelling, interdisciplinary perspective on early modern Europe, inviting readers to rethink the boundaries of artistic and historical exchange.
