Jean L. Okimāsis, originally from White Bear First Nations, is a retired Cree Language educator, who taught for many years with the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (now First Nations University of Canada). She continues to be active in the production of Cree Language materials and has been honoured for her past work with a Doctorate of Letters from the University of Regina. She has had a residential park named for her within the city of Regina, where she currently lives.
