The book aims to explain the economic and political reasons that led the industrial business class to support the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff, drawing on quantitative analysis and interviews with key protagonists of that process. On the one hand, the government's economic policy affected business profit rates, which deteriorated the relationship between entrepreneurs and the government. On the other hand, the troubled relationship with Congress worsened the political environment. Finally, Operation Lava Jato (Car Wash) consolidated middle-class opposition against the government. This combination of factors made the continuity of the government unfeasible.
