"A tiny gem crammed with wisdom and kindness." – Kathryn Mannix, author of With the End in Mind
"A book we should all read – must read. It should be set as a GCSE text. Clear, concise, practical and kind. For the person facing, and those helping, this moment of life that we will all confront. Beautiful work." – Greg Wise
Amanda Blainey is the founder of Doing Death, a multi-media platform and podcast that opens up more authentic conversations about death and dying to inspire people to live more fully. In addition to working at a local hospice in the UK, she is involved in a charity that records the life stories of terminally ill patients. Currently Amanda is training to be a death doula and regularly runs a local Death Café – a pop-up space for people to discuss any aspect of death and dying. She spoke at the DO Lectures in 2018.
