"'Mortgage', 'Inflation', 'Cost of living' are terms that all children today hear bandied about, but how well are they understood? At last there is a book which can explain what economics is all about and how it affects the lives of each and every one of us. Written by a graphic designer, its colourful pages include apposite illustrations, diagrams and information in bite size chunks...It has been thoughtfully structured so that knowledge is built up logically...this is a very even-handed remarkably informative book for such a slim volume and refreshingly does not patronise its young readership (9-12 years). It is also one of a similarly useful series [My World]."English Association

“Altarriba’s sequencing of topics explained is carefully considered so that each new subject ..segues logically into the next. With its wealth of infographics and illustrations...An excellent and illuminating introduction to a topic that is something of a mystery to all too many of us.”Red Reading Hub

“…it covers all those important concepts in an easy to understand manner… [Economics] is going to be compulsory reading for both of my kids and I really do think all kids should have a chance to read it.”O Family Learning Together
