Healthcare innovation is advancing at an unprecedented pace, yet the ways health systems pay for it are evolving more slowly – and often unevenly. As a result, funding and financing have become an increasingly important strategic question for the healthcare industry. Many promising innovations fail to reach patients at scale not because the science is insufficient, but because the funding pathways required to sustain them are missing.
Financing the Future of Health draws on more than a decade of experience working across health systems, industry initiatives and global health partnerships to explore the evolving role of funding and financing in expanding access to healthcare innovations.
It connects governments, industry, investors and global health institutions in a clear and practical way, and offers a fresh, system-level perspective on how we deliver innovation in healthcare in the decades ahead.
Discover:
- Clear explanations of how funding and financing mechanisms influence access to healthcare innovation.
- Reflections drawn from real-world initiatives across multiple health systems and emerging markets.
- Cross-sector insights on what healthcare can learn from infrastructure, energy, and financial markets.
