Kurtöp is an endangered Trans-Himalayan (Tibeto-Burman) language, spoken by approximately 5,000 people in eastern Bhutan. This book is the first published dictionary of the language, enriched with English definitions that contain examples, etymology, cultural details, and information about social and dialectal use. Entries also contain Dzongkha (Bhutan’s national language) glosses in traditional ’Ucen script as well as in a Roman phonemic orthography that captures Dzongkha pronunciation from the ’Wangdi region, making this book the Dzongkha glossary to indicate how the words sound. The English glossary in the end of the book allows the reader to look up the over 10,000 entries from a thematically and alphabetically arranged index
