‘Faith is not heard - it is felt. And the heart will always be listened to by the One who created it.’

Heartfelt is a collection of poems shaped by silence, loss, and unshakable faith. Each piece reflects the timeless wisdom of the Qur’ān and Sunnah, offering not just reflection but direction. Within every verse lies a lesson, a reminder, a moment of stillness that readers can carry with them. Because poetry doesn’t need sound or sight to be understood - it is felt. And it is the heart that listens.

Nausheen Hussain was born in Yorkshire in 1977 to South Asian immigrant parents and is now based in Blackburn, UK. The youngest of three siblings, she is a mother of four and holds a degree in finance and business.

At the age of nineteen, Nausheen lost her hearing due to a rare form of meningitis - a turning point that reshaped her relationship with faith, identity, and expression. Through silence, she discovered presence. Through loss, she found resilience. And in every quiet space, she found Allah.

Her writing is rooted in raw reflection, exploring motherhood, spirituality, adversity, and the strength found in vulnerability. Nausheen writes not to be heard, but to be felt. Her words invite readers to pause, reflect, and remember what truly matters.
