When thirteen-year-old Wilder and his friends Sunny and Corndog go down to the river for a horse ride, something panics Corndog into running away. Wilder and Sunny reluctantly return home without him, and the next day a strange man comes to Wilder’s house looking for Corndog. He seems to know an awful lot about the small, red-haired, foster kid's past. So Wilder, Sunny, and another friend, Big, set out to find Corndog before someone else does. If they succeed, can the group of friends convince Corndog to trust the world enough to rejoin it?

“If you like Hank, you’ll like Wilder Good, too.”―
John R. Erickson, author of Hank the Cowdog

“Dahlstrom’s superb writing takes Wilder through those anxiety-producing years between childhood and adulthood, when life’s simplest and most important lessons are learned.”―
Forbes

“Very family-oriented, very wholesome.”―
Lone Star Literary Life

S.J. Dahlstrom, a fifth-generation Texan, lives and writes in West Texas with his wife and children. The books in his Wilder Good series have won multiple Western Heritage Awards and Will Rogers Medallions, a Spur Award from the Western Writers of America, and have been named finalists for the Lamplighter Award.

Interested in all things outdoors and creative, Dahlstrom writes poetry while bowhunting and collects wildflower seeds when doing ranch work. He lives by the twin mottos 'Be Wilder' and 'Find Beauty' and is happiest when he doesn't have to comb his hair.
