Born one sunny day inside a buzzing hive, tiny Jules is ready to work—and there's no time to waste.

In this colorful board book in the Little Heroes for Little Ones series, young readers follow Jules from the moment she hatches, growing from egg to larva to pupa to a hardworking adult bee, right alongside her bee friend Teddy. Together they explore every job inside the hive—feeding hungry larvae, guarding the queen, and eventually flying out to the meadow to gather nectar and pollen. Look closely on every page for one spotted ladybug, who has wandered off and is waiting to be found.

With gentle, read-aloud storytelling, children discover the real, surprising differences between the hive's busy worker bees and its lounging bee boys, plus how a new queen is chosen and how the whole colony settles in for a long winter's sleep.

Perfect for curious young nature-lovers, Jules the Little Bee blends real science with warmth and gentle humor, turning the buzzing, busy world of a beehive into a story young readers will want to return to again and again.

  • Spot the Hidden Ladybug: A spotted little ladybug hides somewhere on every page, turning story time into a search-and-find game.
  • Follows a Bee's Full Life Cycle: From egg to larva to pupa, Jules hatches and grows right alongside readers, learning a new job at every stage.
  • Real Science, Kid-Friendly Language: Introduces true bee facts, from pollen-gathering to the queen's wedding flight, in warm, accessible storytelling.
  • Fun and Informative Storytelling: Combines lively illustrations with a gentle, read-aloud story that’s engaging and memorable for children.
  • Part of the Little Heroes for Little Ones Series: Launches a buggy board book series alongside Annie the Ladybug, Amillie the Butterfly, and Alice the Ant Girl.
  • Perfect for Kids Ages 3-6: A colorful board book ideal for curious kids interested in science, nature, and the outdoors.
