Filip Posivac is an award-winning Czech illustrator, animator, and filmmaker. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague and focuses on work that blends illustration and animation. Filip illustrated the first complete Czech edition of Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tales and Stories (2025), translated directly from Danish, with almost 100 original extensive illustrations. His artistic expression is characterized by detail, subtle colors, and a combination of techniques such as watercolor, collage, fine textures, and handcrafting, creating rich, visually layered, imaginative worlds. He currently resides in Prague.
