Designed as a workshop in a book, it was first released in 2012 and has been updated for 2023 with new images and the latest technical and gear advice."—Outdoor Photography

Praise for The Art of Landscape Photography:

“What’s really nice about The Art of Landscape Photography is its assumption of a good working knowledge of the technical basics...It’s a refreshing read, with comparative examples showing how minor changes in composition and approach can have a pronounced effect on the emotional impact of your scenics. Make sure you give it a look.”Advanced Photographer

“The success of this book is down to the authors’ insightful look at mastering the aesthetics of landscape photography and revealing how to create images that go beyond being purely representational...a wonderful guide to the essential elements needed to produce artful images.”  —Outdoor Photography

“With its practical advice delivered concisely, and supported by excellent imagery, the updated book will satisfy keen photographers – and it offers an abundance of good learning. The way Bauer and Hoddinott have broken down the essentials of landscape images into easily digestible chunks works really well. I found the hints and tips on composition most useful, and there was plenty to bring into practice on my next outdoor shoot. Picture choice and printing quality are commendable, too … with all of the quality advice inside, it is very good value.”  Photography News
