As interest grows in more collaborative and inclusive approaches in criminal justice, the insights of those with lived experience are gaining increasing attention. This collection examines what it means to bring those voices into research, policy making and service delivery—not only highlighting successes but also grappling with the ethical, practical and emotional complexities involved.
Drawing on diverse contributions from academics, practitioners and individuals with first-hand experience, it offers real-world examples and thoughtful strategies for ensuring lived experience is used meaningfully and responsibly across the criminal justice landscape.
