This book offers a compelling, empirically rich account of how workers in the logistics sector build power against the odds. Focusing on a large furniture retailer in Italy, it traces how initially small, scattered episodes of resistance among precarious, often migrant workers evolved over a decade into a powerful protest chain.
Set against a backdrop of outsourcing and fragmentation, the book shows how labour mobilisation takes root even under intense exploitation and repression. Through diffusion, shared memories and evolving union ecologies, the authors reveal how workers with limited formal resources can forge collective strength and achieve meaningful concessions.
