Weijian Shanis an economist and investor based in Hong Kong. He is Chairman and CEO of Pacific Alliance Group (PAG), a leading private equity firm in Asia.

Shan taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for six years after graduating from the University of San Francisco (MBA) and UC Berkeley (MA and PhD). Prior to PAG, Shan worked as a partner of TPG Capital and co-managing partner of TPG-Asia (formally known as Newbridge Capital).
