Chas Parker is a freelance writer and editor with a life-long passion for motorsport. He has a degree in Maths and Physics from the Open University and spent many years working in the field of astronomy, including press officer at the Royal Greenwich Observatory, and contributed to the Philips Encyclopaedia of Astronomy and Patrick Moore's Yearbook of Astronomy. His real interest, however, is motor racing and he spent much of the 1970s taking photographs at Brands Hatch, amassing a collection of many thousands of pictures. A one-time motoring correspondent for Sussex Life magazine, he now works as a freelance sub-editor on Motorsport News.
