Salvatore Lilla, Dr.phil. (1958) in Classics, Università di Pisa, Scuola Normale Superiore, D.Phil (1962) in Theology, Oxford University, was scriptor of the Vatican Library, and is Professor at the Patristic Institute Augustinianum, Rome.
