A politically charged Málaga mystery of a missing woman, a buried history, and a detective racing to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

A rising politician vanishes without a trace and the police have already stopped looking for her.

JD has no dead body to investigate. Instead, she and her team are given the task of finding a missing politician whose campaigns against domestic violence and the exploitation of children have earned her many followers—but also many critics.

Ana María, a fierce defender of women’s rights, disappeared almost a year ago. Now the police have dismissed the case as a domestic issue and stopped investigating, despite there being no shortage of suspects, including her husband.

As JD digs deeper into the politician’s past, she discovers secrets that could explain why Ana María vanished. But the more she uncovers, the more she begins to fear they’re no longer searching for a missing woman.

They may be searching for a body.
