Seoul Days & Nights captures the spirit of one of the world’s most compelling cities through a vivid collection of photography and personal storytelling. Featuring images by James Choi, Kim Sangjun (aka Bigg Jun), and Sam Landers, this volume offers a contemporary, intimate look at a capital where tradition and modern life coexist, creating a city that is as visually striking as it is culturally rich.
Including more than 200 photographs, Seoul Days & Nights takes readers from the historic grandeur of Gyeongbokgung Palace and the preserved hanok homes of Bukchon to the energy of Seoul’s contemporary districts, where glass towers, expressive street fashion, and innovative design reflect the city’s global influence. The collection also highlights the details that define everyday life, from neighborhood cafés and local markets to the visual beauty of Hangul, Korea’s distinctive written language, which gives the city an unmistakable graphic identity.
Original essays written by Seoul residents and natives offer personal reflections on local culture, language, traditions, and the experience of living in a city that continues to evolve while remaining deeply connected to its past. Their voices provide an authentic perspective that enriches the visual narrative and brings readers closer to the lived experience of Seoul.
Beautifully produced using premium papers and featuring an exposed spine detail, Seoul Days & Nights is a must-have for travelers, photography enthusiasts, and anyone drawn to the energy and character of great global cities.
