The ‘Sustainable Global Careers’-book introduces the novel and burgeoning concept of “sustainable careers” into the global careers arena. The globalization of business, technological advancement, geopolitical disruptions, and health threats have been significantly reshaping the global career landscape. By integrating the core ideas of the Sustainable Career Framework with characteristics of global careers, this book discusses what specific features the global career context embodies in terms of sustainable career indicators such as health, happiness, and productivity. It examines how sustainable global careers are impacted the three dimensions of person, context, and time and draws up critical academic reflections as well as substantial practical insights. With contributions from leading scholars, this book offers new knowledge, practical guidelines and real-life examples for understanding and enhancing sustainable global careers. Edited by Vesa Suutari, Shaofang Zong, Michael Dickmann, and Rodrigo Mello, this book is an essential resource for anyone interested in understanding the nature of global careers whether they are a researcher, teacher, practitioner, or policymaker.
