In social sciences disciplines the interest in global topics has prompted the development of new methods or the refinement of classical ones. Vincenzo Cicchelli, Ph.D. (1999), is Associate Professor at Ceped (IRD/Université Paris Cité). He has extensively published on youth, globalization and cosmopolitanism including An Alternative Globalization. Global Generations, Cultural Commodities, and Soft Power from East Asia to the World (edited with Sylvie Octobre and Juhyun Lee, Brill). He is co-editor of Global Youth Studies (Brill).
Isabelle Léglise, Ph.D (1999) is Directrice de Recherche at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS, SeDyL, Paris) and Head of the Federation of Centers on Social Sciences in the Global South (IRD F3S). She has extensively published on multilingualism and language policy related to education, migration and health in postcolonial settings.
