Our future is being dismantled in real time. Ecological collapse, climate breakdown, rising inequalities – and at the heart of it all: business as usual. More and more employees are beginning to realise that the organisations they work for, and often even the tasks they perform each day, are part of the problem rather than the solution.
The Green Handprint at Work is a guide for those who want to leave a positive environmental impact at their workplace by becoming an employee activist: someone who cares deeply about the environment and wants to create change from within their organisation.
It offers tools, not just inspiration, providing employee activists with insights into how power works and how change spreads. You don’t need a formal role to make a difference. You need a strategy – and the courage to act. This book will help you find both.
“This timely and hopeful guide reminds us that change begins within, showing how employees, through everyday actions, can shape the culture, pace, and purpose of the transition our world needs.” Sophie Lambin, Founder and CEO of Kite Insights and creator of Hurd
"A wake-up call for everyone who believes real change can only come from the top. This book shows how every employee can become a catalyst for transformation – turning frustration into action and workplaces into engines of sustainability. It’s both practical and deeply empowering.” Ingmar Rentzhog, Founder and CEO of wedonthavetime.org
“Offers actionable strategies and tactics while underscoring a simple truth: when employees organize, they can transform the future.” Maren Costa, tech-worker organizer, climate-justice advocate and Board President of Amazon Employees for Climate Justice
"This book helps us tap into the positive values we want to work from. It gives us inspiration through stories of people who have gone before us and provides knowledge and insights for those who want to stand firm and act. It doesn’t get more real than this." Tessa Wernink, initiator of the Employee Climate Action Network (ECAN) and Co‑Founder of Fairphone
“For anyone who cares about sustainability and wants their work to matter.” Arjan Keizer, co-founder of Employees for our Future
"If you still have a job, you need to get your copy of 'The Green Handprint at Work'" Maren Costa, Tech Worker Organizer and Climate Justice Advocate
