A fascinating interspecies relationship can be seen among the horse breeding pastoralists in the Altai and Saian Mountains of Inner Asia. Victoria Soyan Peemot is a research fellow in Indigenous Studies at the University of Helsinki, a member of the Helsinki Institute for Sustainability Science HELSUS, and a visiting researcher at the Center for Northeast Asian Studies at Tohoku University. Her research interests include more-than-human sociality, Indigenous research methodologies, museum anthropology, and sustainability studies. Her research has been supported by the Nordenskiöld Foundation, Swedish Cultural Foundation, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, and the Kone Foundation.
