How can you expect people to follow you when you’re out of gas?
The way we’ve set up our organizations makes no sense from the perspective of both human wellbeing and performance. It asks leaders to sideline humanity in the pursuit of results, and the irony is that this kills the very energy the workforce needs to deliver impact.
This book is for all leaders, especially those in the mission-driven sector, who recognize they need a different approach to light up workforce performance. At a time when modern ways of living, leading and working are causing us all to lose connection with our humanity, it’s a call to look inwards first in order to find the human spark to ignite greater impact.
Kate Jones’s background combines social and probation work with management consultancy and solopreneurship in different sectors and geographies. She is a leadership development practitioner with 35 years’ experience of facilitating change in individuals, teams and organizations of all kinds, including BAE Systems, Save the Children UK, NHS England and Wales, Shelter, Green Climate Fund and the Jesuit Refugee Service.
She founded Neon CLC in 2013 and has worked with a range of clients at all levels of leadership, using the tools, frameworks and insights that feature in this book to enable individual leaders, leadership teams and organizations to master the art of people leadership.
