Mirrors, as objects designed for reflection, have played a significant role in various academic disciplines, including the humanities, social sciences, technology, sciences, and arts. This book aims to consolidate current data and methodologies in mirror studies in three sections: Archaeology, Art and Anthropology, and Physics and Medicine. Departing from traditional approaches that primarily focus on the artifacts themselves, it seeks to understand mirrors within broader contexts, such as their materials and materiality, sociocultural and political significance, as well as their functions and symbolic representations.
